Molly Samsell | Associate

Molly joined DP&S in April 2025. Prior to joining the firm, Molly served as a law clerk for the Honorable Margaret I. Strickland at the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico.

Molly gained legal experience in both the public and private sectors, including serving as a summer associate at Montgomery & Andrews Law Firm and as a law clerk with the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General. She has also worked with the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of New Mexico and served as a clinical law student in the Child & Family Justice Clinic at the University of New Mexico School of Law.

Molly graduated summa cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. She served as Editor-in-Chief of the New Mexico Law Review and was recognized with multiple honors, including the American Law Institute-CLE Scholarship & Leadership Award and the Institute for Energy Law’s Hartrick Scholar Writing Competition award.

Before pursuing a legal career, Molly had a diverse professional background in nonprofit leadership, communications, and the arts. She holds a Master of Fine Arts from Massey University in New Zealand and dual bachelor’s degrees in Physics & Astrophysics and Art from the University of New Mexico.

Molly is admitted to practice in New Mexico.
